Dragon movement on Pangong Lake:Government said - China is building a bridge on the place occupied in 1962, it is illegal

China is building a bridge over Pangong Tso Lake in northern Ladakh. The government's action is being watched. On Friday, the government gave a statement on the matter in Parliament. Said- China occupied this area in 1962. This bridge is being built on illegally occupied land. We hope that other countries will respect the sovereignty of India.

A few days ago it was reported that the Chinese army is building a bridge in its side of Pangong Tso Lake. It is estimated that with this the Chinese army will be able to reach the Indian border very fast.

Government gave written reply

The government gave a written answer to a question asked about China's actions. Said- The government has taken notice that China is building a bridge over Pangong Tso Lake. The area where the bridge is being built is under Chinese occupation since 1962. The Indian government would never be ready to accept this occupation. We have made it clear on many occasions that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral part of India. We hope that other countries will respect the sovereignty and integrity of India.

How is the bridge
The bridge that China is building is about 8 meters wide and it is being built on the northern bank of the lake. Here is also the field hospital of the Chinese army. In June 2020, there was a violent conflict between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Galwan, present in this part of northern Ladakh. In this 20 Indian soldiers were martyred. Since then, about 50 thousand soldiers of both the countries are present in this area. Tension is increasing in this area due to the construction of bridges by China. However, during this time talks are also going on between the two countries to reduce tension and reduce military.

LAC should be respected, the
government further said – We have three principles in the conversation. First- Both sides should respect the LAC seriously. Second- Neither party should try to change the current situation by unilateral action. Third- All agreements should be followed. The last talks between the two countries took place on 12 January. Both sides agreed that all issues should be resolved soon through dialogue so that peace is maintained on the LAC.

On China's action to change the names of some places in Arunachal Pradesh, the government said – Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India.
