US health officials said on Friday that the country is considering increasing the gap between the two doses of the vaccine. After the implementation of the new rule, the gap will be 8 weeks. Currently, this gap is 3 weeks for the Pfizer vaccine and 4 weeks for Moderna.

Health officials have said that widening the gap will increase the efficiency of the vaccine and reduce the risk of heart-related diseases. A decision on this issue will be taken after the recommendation of the Center for Disease Control CDC.
